Ultimate 3 Ingredient Scones

Scones have always been one of those recipes that I love to eat but have been terified to make.


This may have something to do with everyone always telling me how hard they are to make.


But when your boyfriend tells you how much he likes scones, there is only one thing to do....bake scones


Now I have made this recipe quite a few times now and each time the scones have come out beautiful and fluffy, and with minimal effort as well.


So here is my hella easy recipe


3 Ingredient Scones


INGREDIENTS

3 cups self raising flour, plus a little extra

1 cup lemonade (do not use sprite)

1 cup thickened cream

Splash of milk (to brush over scones)

Jam & cream for serving


DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees fan forced

  2. Sift flour into a large mixing bowl. Add cream and lemonade and mix to combine. Finish mixing with hands, adding a little extra flour if the mix is particularly sticky. Make sure that the dough stays slightly tacky though!

  3. Turn onto a well floured board and knead minimaly. The more you handle the dough the flatter the scones will be. Roll to aproc 2.5cm thick and cut rounds out. I use a large glass for this.

  4. Place the scones onto a lined baking tray, making sure the scones touch lightly. Bursh with a little milk and back till golden brown. Approx 15 minutes

Whipped Cream Recipe


1/2 cup thicken cream

1-2 tbsp caster sugar

1 cap vanilla essence (1 tsp)


Combine all ingredients in a bowl and whip until soft peaks form.
