Falling asleep can be a nightmare even for the best of us and I have done more than my fair share of sleepless nights.

So after much trial and error here are my go to ways to switch off the mind and help fall asleep

  1. Stop using your phone, tablet, computer or TV an hour before you plan to go to sleep

  2. Turn on the diffuser with a sleepy blend - think peace & calming + stress away <this is my go to blend every night, it also smells like a tropical holiday>

  3. Room Temperature - for me this is a huge one, if I feel ever then slightest bit hot or muggy it’s all over for me. I find being just slightly cold allows me to relax and drift off with no problems

  4. Sleepy Roller - I use a blend of lavender + peace & calming + stress away + copaiba and roll it on the pad of my big toe and along the sole of my foot.

  5. Set a sleep routine, this helps your mind and body to know that it is time to wind down and relax (this may mean an hour before you are ready to go to sleep you roller your feet with your sleepy roller before putting your phone on do not disturb and listening to a guided mediation - the CALM app has amazing guide sleep meditations. This is just an example do something that works for you to wind down.

* Always make sure you are using PURE essential oils from a reputable company. As the industry is not regulated companies are only required to have 5% pure essential oil in their product to market it as pure. This is one of the reasons I chose to use Young Living products their seed to seal promise is incredible and completely transparent.
